Midwest Courtyard

The Midwest Courtyard project was a backyard renovation project designed and built by KGK. The homeowners desired to update their backyard by adding a new detached garage and additional space for entertaining, and the design team at KGK was ready to help devise a collective plan for the new building and a new private patio space for friends and family to gather. Fieldstone walls and true-blue Pennsylvania bluestone materials were selected to create a neutral palette to complement the existing home. A simple planting plan was constructed to provide greenery and additional privacy to the space, and a lighting plan was developed for safety and to allow homeowners to continue to enjoy the space late into the night.
