Barrington Country Club
KGK was brought on to this country club renovation project to help create and install new hardscaping elements around the existing clubhouse. The project’s architects developed a plan to expand the clubhouse’s existing covered patios with a new bar area featuring spacious seating, climate control, and environmental lighting. Above the bar, an elevated patio space was designed using porcelain pavers and a unique pedestal system to create a consistent transition between new and old. Patios were created and expanded around the space to provide new outdoor dining and casual seating for members to enjoy. Concrete and porcelain pavers were selected to match the aesthetic of the clubhouse and surrounding area. Essential to the space was a matching concrete block firepit with sandstone cap, centered on the clubhouse’s bow window. Thanks to the heating system provided by the club, KGK was able to work through the winter to create this outdoor feature in time for the opening of the spring season.
