Micro Garden

The concept of the micro garden is that big things can come in small packages. Nestled in the urban residential core of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, this long shotgun style lot is narrow and long. A small cedar fence divides the yard from passive open space to more intimate garden space which serves as a series of pollinator gardens, vegetable gardens, and also an area for the owners to entertain and rest. The rear and sides of the garden area screened by a custom-built wooden fence and an arborvitae hedge that creates for an intimate setting. Natural stone materials and lush dense perennial plantings allow for a low maintenance approach to an otherwise mundane lawn.
