Jewett Park

KGK was brought in to work alongside the community to develop a feasible masterplan for Jewett Park – an unappealing neighborhood park located on Akron’s east side. Through the community engagement process, our team narrowed down the amenities on the site to include a new public plaza space, bike racks, an area for a new playground, walking trail, raised community gardens, and two covered pavilions. We helped throughout the planning, design, and ultimately portions of the installation within the park. KGK also lead the community build day which included the improvements of the playground, site work, walking trail, and landscape throughout the park.
