Kerr Park

The KGK design team worked with the community and stakeholders to develop a masterplan for Kerr Park, located in Akron, Ohio. The goal of the project was to develop a plan that could be adopted by the community over several years. The projects including a new playground, renovated tennis courts, enhanced site circulation, and beautification of the park through landscape and new site furnishings. Some of these projects received funding in the initial stages of the park project including the playground and surrounding landscape.

The group raised donations for the build of the playground with help from their partner KABOOM. This playground is inclusive to all children that are a part of the neighborhood and anyone within the City of Akron. The KGK team was instrumental in planting around the playground along with volunteering for the playground build. Improvements for the remaining portions are set to start in 2023.
