Buchtel High School Stadium Entryway

KGK was asked to develop a conceptual plan for the entryway of the Buchtel High School Stadium. The existing conditions lacked a sense of arrival and there was no connection from the ticket gate to the stands other than to travel over the track and a lawn panel. Our goal of this project was to create a meaningful and intentional connection to and from the main entry gate through a series of elevated structures, a seating wall, paving material on the ground plan, and enhanced landscape to help elevate the flat landscape.
