A Residence

The A Residence was a partial landscape renovation to connect the clients’ existing horseshoe driveway and front yard zone to the backyard pool. Lighting and material selection were of significant importance, as the new and existing elements needed to be tied together seamlessly. Existing beds were reduced and redefined, and large-format bluestone stepping stones were chosen to create an informal pathway to the pool. Sandstone boulders were selected to create a new front wall, while the existing wall-elements were salvaged and reconfigured to fit the new beds. Select trees were retained, while overgrown plants were replaced with lower-maintenance selections more suited to the home’s style. New lighting was employed to further enhance the A Residence’s curb appeal and guide guests between the parking area and pool after hours.
