2219

The 2219 was a long-term home improvement project led by KGK. The design features a natural and manufactured stone walkway connecting the home’s three points of entry and surrounding the home’s wrap-around porch. Formal planting elements, such as the boxwood hedging are mixed with lush perennial plantings to provide color and seasonal interest. A private garden was a major part of the design, utilizing wrought-iron fencing to create a deer-free location for the homeowners to experiment with growing herbs, vegetables, and other heavily browsed plantings. The stacked stone raised planters create easily accessible garden beds, while the irregular bluestone patio provides a casual element in an otherwise formal space.
